| Resumo | The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Work Programme Activities are the authoritative sources of many valuable and essential EO-based applications, providing solutions that underpin decision-making concerning a wide range of societal challenges, ranging from Disaster Risk Reduction to Food Security over Biodiversity. To foster the reproducibility, replicability, and reusability of the applications and knowledge generated by GEO Work Programme activities, the GEO is developing a new component for the GEOSS ecosystem, the GEO Knowledge Hub (GKH). The GKH is an open, cloud-based digital repository created based on the GEO Data Sharing Principles and the GEO Data Management Principles, enabling users to share and find authoritative, reusable, and reproducible EO-based applications. Using the GKH, users can openly share all the resources essential to fully understand and reuse their applications. For each shared resource, users can associate files (e.g., Audio files, Satellite data files) and metadata (e.g., Title, Description, Spatial location). Also, these resources are linked in a centralized and comprehensive unit, creating a straightforward way for users to find and learn the application. To allow users to find shared resources, the GKH provides a powerful search engine, which enables users to search using basic properties (e.g., Full-Text search for the title and description) or even advanced and thematic properties (e.g., Spatial search and Sustainable Development Goal oriented search). To promote community engagement, users can communicate and share their experiences with the shared content using a feedback system and a Q&A chat. The GEO Knowledge Hub is being developed with the active collaboration of the GEO Community, technically-wise and content-wise. In this presentation, we will show how we are doing this, the guidelines, lessons learned, and examples where fully and reusable knowledge has already been available for the community. | |||
